INTRODUCTION :

Everyone knows a few acronyms. What about N.A.S.A.?  It stands for National Aeronautic Space Administration.  Or, how about S.C.U.B.A.? Did you know that SCUBA stands for Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus? There are plenty of acronyms out there. The trouble is that they're BORING! That got us thinking...What about if you could make your own silly acronyms from random letters?? Now that might be fun! And that's how ACRONYMBLE was born!

IN A NUTSHELL :

Playing ACRONYMBLE is easy:

In each round players get a bunch of letters and decide for themselves what they might stand for.

If for example the letters for the round wereE.U.M.G., you might write:
Elvis Unglued My Grandmother
or
Eek! Ugly Man-eating Gerbils!!!
or
Elderly Undergraduates Matriculate Gradually
or even
Ecky, Ucky, Moogy Gooze!

Everyone writes their line (or NOODLE) for the letters given on a piece of paper and hands it to the leader of the round (a.k.a. the NYMWIT)
The NYMWIT reads all the NOODLES without identifying the authors.
Each player then votes for the NOODLE that they liked best.
(NO VOTING FOR YOUR OWN!)
The current NYMWIT does not cast a vote, but DOES write a NOODLE

The NYMWIT then moves each player’s marker.
A player's marker moves one space if their NOODLE contained a sentence of at least 3 words, and an extra space for every vote their NOODLE receives.
(e.g. You wrote a sentence and got 2 votes...Move 3 spaces. or, how about: You didn't write a sentence, but got 1 vote...Move 1 space...or, You wrote a sentence, but tragically, no one voted for you...Move 1 space.)

After all markers have been moved the next round begins (with the person to the left of the last NYMWIT becoming the new NYMWIT).
The 1st player to cross the finish line wins. Wasn't that fun???
